Ken Christiansen has updated his blog with some designed of Transformers Bumblebee, Jazz and Inferno which are alternative ideas from Transformers Prime,
Mr Christiansen is working as a concept artist on Transformers Primeand has previously worked on Activisions Transformers: The Game and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen computer games.
"Yes I did work on Transformers : Prime. No,
these images (Click on the Title Bar to see) are NOT from that work.
You have to wait until October to see those...
But, now that some of those images are starting to come out, I wanted to
try to do some studies to match the official style. Just really rough
at this point, trying to find some of the basics.
Obviously, TFP Bumblebee is based on the movie Camaro, so I wanted to
try a pass with him as the Beetle, and how that old vehicle form could
break up in new ways. Then I took a crack at Jazz (I don't know if
there's any TF/Prime images of him out, and I honestly don't know if
he's in the lineup for the show - I didn't work on him, in any case) and
based him on more of the TF:Animated styling. And then for fun, I just
picked a random Autobot, and did Inferno. He was the last one I did,
and I think I started to capture some of the TFP looks...
Tomorrow, some Decepts..."

Bryan Baugh has updated his DeviantArt page with the announcement that not only will be be at SDCC but that he has been working as a storyboard artist for Transformers-Prime.
"Since
February 2010, I have been working (as a storyboard artist) on a new
animation project that has been kept super top secret. But I can now
confirm that the show I've been working on all these months is:
TRANSFORMERS PRIME. There will be a discussion panel about this show at
San Diego Comic Con, on Thursday, July 22nd.
...So there you go... Don't ask me any questions about it cause that's
pretty much all I am allowed to say at this point! If you want to know
more about the show - get yourself to SDCC and attend this panel! And
before you even ask, no I will not be one of the people onstage at the
panel answering questions. As a humble storyboard artist I am just one
of the many little cogs in the great big machine. But I'll certainly be
in the audience and I hope some of you guys will be too.
Later, gang!

Amazon have updated their product listing for the Transformers: Prime book from IDW that was mentioned a little while back with a breif synopsis which pretty much confirms that the series will be a prequel to the Transformers Movie showing Optimus Prime becoming the leader of the Autobots and leading his first campaigns..
"This all-new graphic novel adventure leads directly into the all new Transformers: Prime animated series! In this epic first adventure, battles across Cybertron have left Bumblebee and his fellow Autobots in need of a new leader. But is there anyone who can step forward against the threat of Megatron and the evil Decepticons?"
